‘Where Did All the Flying Cars Go?’ is a set of 5 riso-printed illustrations referencing and narrating the evolution of futurism
within design. They all present and illustrate different self-described eras of futurism, as way to immerse the audience into these different possible future worlds. The illustrations are best viewed as a group, but can also be viewed on their own to get the idea.
The aim of these posters is to get a baseline understanding of how disparate elements, such as architecture, fashion, interior design and even city-planning affected the way the future was speculated upon throughout different periods of history, and how historical events affected these designs.
